Privacy
The short version: your data is yours. It stays on your device unless you choose to sync it to your own account, and only you can see it.
Without an account
Everything about you stays in your browser on this device: your stats and learned pace, your fuel closet, your routes and how you planned them, and your ride history. Nothing about you is sent to us.
Clearing your browser's site data removes it. On iPhone, Safari may also clear it after about a week without a visit, unless you've added Anti-Bonk Club to your Home Screen.
With an account (optional)
Signing in syncs that same data to your account so it follows you between devices: stats and learned pace, fuel closet, saved routes with their stops and last plan settings, and a summary of each post-ride check-in.
It's stored with Supabase, our database provider. Database rules let each account read and change only its own data. We don't sell it, share it, or use it for ads. As the person running the app, Trent could reach the database as its administrator; he doesn't look at riders' data.
We keep your email address to sign you in. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and name from Google, nothing else.
Recorded rides
When you compare a recording with your plan, the file is read in your browser and never uploaded. Only the summary you save (planned vs actual times, and what you changed) goes into your ride history.
Services that see parts of your route
To build a plan, points along your route are sent to Open-Meteo for weather (and elevation, if your file has none). Finding stops and road surfaces sends your route's points through our server to OpenStreetMap services (Overpass and Valhalla). Map tiles come from OpenFreeMap. None of these get your name, email or stats.
Anonymous usage counts
We count things like plans made and which outputs get used, tied to a random ID made in your browser, never to your account, routes or location. You can turn this off at the bottom of any page, and it's off automatically if your browser sends Global Privacy Control.
We also use Vercel Web Analytics to see page views, which sites people came from, and rough country and device type. It uses no cookies and isn't tied to your account, and the same switch turns it off.
Our host (Vercel) keeps standard request logs, including IP addresses, for a short time.
Feedback
The feedback form sends what you type, the page you were on, and a contact only if you give one.
Your copy, and deleting it
On your account page you can export everything as one file, sign out (optionally removing your data from that device), or delete your account, which permanently removes your data from our database.
